Rory has a set of Bible stories that she loves to read. The pictures are pretty clear, so she usually just sits and makes up the storyline by herself. (Why yes! I am a lazy mother who gets tired of reading the same books over and over and over...)
Yesterday? She pulled out the one about Jesus turning over the tables in the temple, and the Last Supper. Her storytelling got exciting, and well, interesting...
Rory's Version:
"Jesus eat his dinner. Yum. *turns page, stands up and YELLS* Oh! Jesus mad! No bessert for Jesus! No! He yell and frow stuff! Angry Jesus! *turns page, sits down and smiles* So. Jesus happy and friends now. He eats bessert."
Um. I'm not sure what we're exactly teaching her, but I think her Jesus stories pretty much rock. I'm not planning on correcting them anytime soon.
Hmm. Bad mom?
